June 22, 2010

For the last 2 weeks I have been working with 4 different independent business owners that are having problems with county code enforcement. As these cases develop I will fill you in on each one.
As of now there are major problems, the county code enforcement is forcing people out of business with bogus made up rules.

I have requested a meeting with Frank Bruno (county chair) Jim Dinneen (County Manager) Greg Stubb (head of code enforcement) and the Press.

Working for you,

One more success story BFFAR can put on our long list of achievements we can be proud of.

Two weeks ago I was approached by one of our members that were having an issue with Holly Hill code enforcement over landscaping and a gazebo type structure he built. I made a call to the city manager, she told me she would look into it, she did and assured me there was no problem, however staff continued to make it difficult for him. After another call to the city manager our member called me back to inform that the issue was finally settled and to thank me. He was sure he would have to pay a fine and tear down his hard work. I would like to thank the Holly Hill City manager Dr. Ole Wingo for her help in resolving this matter in a timely and fair manner.

Working for our members

With and without the help of our lawyers…we have beaten 2 bogus DUI’S, we have reversed 2 unlawful code enforcement violations, we have reversed 2 unlawful search and seizures, we have successfully defended two of our members in bogus criminal actions, we have helped save a members home from foreclosure, won 2 personal injury cases, one labor and employment law case and two other miscellaneous cases. WE HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN ALL OF THEM. We have one large lawsuit pending against a city and we are working on other similar cases as we speak. We have gotten the attention of every politician and would be politician that wants to get into office or stay in office. We have shown that we do care and are not just the cattle they thought we were.

This is what we see and want to see time after time........

CASE CLOSED

WE HAD ANOTHER MAJOR CODE ENFORCEMENT VICTORY
OCT 19TH IN COUNTY.............YES !!!!!!!!

Did you Know...Without the assistance of  BFFAR  the Cabbage Patch would not have been allowed to be open during Bike week '05

Trader Jacks was closed down by a county staffers for 3 weeks when they contacted us. An attorney from Tampa worked on it for them for 3 weeks. We had them reopened in 3 hours
