Bikers For First Amendment Rights

For thoes of you that who don't frequently visit our club and are not in touch on a regular basis. BFFAR is in great shape and still growing every day. If you live a distance from Holly Hill, you should plan a visit to the club if you are in the area. We have a general membership meeting on the second Sunday of every month. We would love to see YOU.

First let me explain why you havent gotten a newsletter for so long. With the size of our membership it is very cost prohibited. You can go online and follow what is going on on our website. (BFFAR) any search engine will bring up our site.

Now for a little of what we have done in the past year. We have started a major investigation at the Emory L.Bennit nursing home. This has been going on since last December. You may have read about it in the News Journal ( July 22nd, 2008 ). We have had several fundraisers, we have succeeded in getting a change on city ordinance and may have a second one changed before you receive this newsletter. We have been very active in both city and county government. We started a Life Line to the Gainesville Veterans Hospital. We are one of the Official Marine Corps Toys For Tots collection sites in our area, and last December collected 1/3 of the total toys collected in our area. We are working closely with our seniors and our Vets. We have helped several of our members with individual issues with local governments. All this has been made possible by YOUR membership. We HAVE strength in numbers, We are what we as a group were formed to do, and we are doing it well. THANK YOU for helping to give us this strength.

Our 8th annual police escorted Ride & Rally to the county courthouse will be, Sunday Oct. 4th, 2009  if you have never made this ride and rally, you are missing a lot and it is our chance to flex our muscles and show local government that we do care, we do vote and we do stand together. We ARE the largest single citizens group in Volusia County.

Our Dues have had to increase to $25.00 for 2009. Please continue to help make us the strongest single citizens group in the county.

Thank you for your continued support,

Crazy Eddie, Pres.

We still have the best place in Daytona Beach. You can share time with good friends and just have fun! Our drink prices are still the best in town, our beer is still on ice and our kitchen is putting out some great food. We have something going on every night of the week! Sunday you can relax and play pool all day FREE and watch the games or the races on our big screen TV, Monday is FOOTBALL to the MAX with drink and food specials. Tuesday night we have Oysters and Clams, a fun night at the shore! Wednesday night is "down home" night with Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy and YAHTZEEor some other fun game... something different to do. Thursday is Texas Hold-Em night with VEI poker. We have live music on most Friday nights with Michael t "Rockin' to the Oldies" good old music to dance to and enjoy and Saturday nights we have bands. Things may change because of the economy, we may have to "tighten" the belt but no matter what we will have a great club to come to and have fun.

B.F.F.A.R. opens at 10am every day and we stay open untill 10pm on Sunday, Monday thru Thursday to 11pm (or later) and friday and saturday close between midnight and 2am. We still host several poker runs and Chinese Auctions several times a year. As the weather cools we hope to have BBQ's outside on our deck and maybe horseshooes too! Bike Shows...Bike Washes...Car Shows and lots...lots more!

We don't raise prices during events and we treat everyone like locals. Guests are always welcome... but after 3 visits they have to become a member...and for $25 a year that'sthe best bargain in town!

Ricky Ray is our kitchen manager and our kitchen is one of the best in town and the best prices too. Our menu includes great char-grilled wings...fresh hamburger from the local meat market...(not that frozen pressed patties) we get all our hamburger every day from Gaff's in Ormond and hand press each hamburger! Homemade soups and chili and a whole lot more to choose from! Friday night there's a different dinner special, most are just $6.00; anything from meatloaf to shrimp scampi! Lunch specials everyday...you can call ahead and we'll have it ready for you. Please don't forget... We are all volunteers and work for tips only.

So now you know a little about "YOUR" club...come in and have some fun, bring a friend *or three* we need your help spreading the word!
